Dead Formats Logo

The Story

When Reverb LP launched, an independent seller approached me about branding their online storefront. They came to me with a name, Dead Formats, to represent the resurgence of vinyl and to poke fun at the “The Vinyl Record is Dead” movement.

As the seller will predominately sell vinyl records, I combined a visual of the record with a gravestone. A little on the nose, sure, but it was a combination of ideas that was a quick, trendy read to potential customers.
